Vietnam by motorbike

14 x days 2185.4 x kms 2 x 2015 Kawasaki KLX 150's and a whole lot of adventure!

I’ll have to admit, I panicked a bit. I think we both did. When, at the end of day one of our adventure we had only made it to Bao Loc, a full 111kms short of our projected destination of Da Lat. The grueling 181kms out of Ho Chi Minh City, despite all our preparations and research, had taken much longer than planned. I just didn’t understand how my calculations could be so wrong. My notes prepared us for a first day travel of 307km at approximately 50km/hr for 6hours 47minutes to arrive before dark. The daylight hours were long enough and we started our journey early enough. It seemed to work on paper and the digital map itinerary, but in reality the plan simply did not work.
